With close to two decades of experience in the commercial vehicle industry, he brings deep expertise in sales, product strategy, and marketing, particularly within the emerging electric and alternative fuel mobility ecosystem.

At Blue Energy Motors, Shelar is responsible for driving the adoption of next-generation heavy-duty trucks powered by LNG and electric technologies, aligning marketing strategy with the company’s broader mission of decarbonizing India’s freight transportation sector. His work focuses on building market awareness, enabling customer acquisition, and positioning sustainable trucking as both an environmentally responsible and economically viable solution. His leadership is closely tied to the company’s efforts to accelerate green logistics, including initiatives such as electric freight corridors, battery-swapping ecosystems, and energy-as-a-service models that are redefining fleet economics.

Prior to joining Blue Energy Motors, Shelar held senior leadership roles across some of India’s most prominent automotive and mobility organizations, including stints at Mahindra Truck and Bus, Tata Motors, and VE Commercial Vehicles, where he led key functions in sales, marketing, and product management. He also served as Senior General Manager and National Head of Sales at the Murugappa Group, further strengthening his experience in scaling commercial vehicle businesses and building market share in competitive environments.

Academically, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering along with an MBA in Marketing, providing him with a strong blend of technical understanding and business strategy. Known for his data-driven approach, customer-centric thinking, and execution-led leadership style, Jayesh Shelar continues to contribute significantly to the transition toward sustainable, technology-driven freight mobility—helping position Blue Energy Motors at the forefront of India’s green trucking revolution.
