Kamal Narayan Omer is a respected health communicator, public-health advocate and chief executive leader who serves as Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Integrated Health & Wellbeing (IHW) Council — one of India’s foremost think tanks and advocacy platforms dedicated to holistic health, wellness, environment and equitable healthcare dialogue. Founded in 2014, the IHW Council brings together healthcare professionals, policymakers, industry leaders, researchers and civil-society partners to foster inclusive discourse, drive health awareness and support evidence-based action across critical issues such as preventive healthcare, environmental determinants of health and access to quality care.

Kamal’s professional journey began as a journalist with leading English newspapers including the Hindustan Times, and major wire agencies such as United News of India (UNI) and Press Trust of India (PTI), where his work ignited a deep interest in communicating public-health issues to broader audiences. This foundation in media and communication led him to establish Teamwork Communications Group in 2009 and subsequently the IHW Council with a mission to expand health advocacy and understanding across India and globally.

Under his leadership, the IHW Council has convened major high-impact forums, summits, and awards initiatives—including the India Health & Wellness Summit & Awards, CSR Health Impact Awards, Ayushman Bharat Conclave, Jal Shakti Conclave, and focused platforms such as the RAPID Global Cancer Alliance—providing multi-stakeholder arenas for collaboration, innovation, and recognition of excellence in health and wellbeing.
