Surya Kanta Dash is an accomplished supply chain professional currently serving as Vice President – Supply Chain Management at Reliance Retail Limited, one of India’s largest retail organizations with a vast multi-format presence across grocery, electronics, fashion, and consumer goods. With over three decades of experience in supply chain operations, logistics, and distribution management, he has built a strong reputation for designing scalable supply chain ecosystems that support large-scale retail operations and complex omnichannel distribution networks.

In his role at Reliance Retail, Dash is responsible for strengthening end-to-end supply chain capabilities, including demand planning, warehouse management, logistics optimization, and distribution efficiency across the company’s extensive retail footprint. His work focuses on enabling seamless product movement across multiple categories and formats, ensuring high service levels, operational agility, and cost-effective supply chain performance to support one of the fastest-growing retail businesses in the country.

Prior to joining Reliance Retail in 2022, Dash held several senior leadership roles across globally recognized consumer electronics and technology companies. He served as general manager – planning & warehouse management for supply chain logistics at Samsung Electronics for nearly a decade, where he led large-scale planning, warehousing, and logistics operations supporting nationwide distribution networks. Earlier in his career, he also held key supply chain and logistics leadership roles at organizations such as Nokia, Motorola Mobility, LG Electronics, and Panasonic, where he contributed to building efficient logistics frameworks and customer service supply chains for large consumer technology businesses.

Dash’s academic credentials reflect his strong foundation in business and supply chain management. He holds an Executive MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Indore, along with a Doctorate in Business Administration from the European Global Institute of Innovation & Technology. He also earned a graduate diploma in materials management from the Indian Institute of Materials Management, complemented by postgraduate and undergraduate degrees in commerce from Utkal University.
